Responsibilities are to ensure that guests have an enjoyable dining experience by providing quality guest service. Servers work in the front of house taking and delivering food and beverage orders for guests, as well as assisting guests with all other needs. Candidate must possess ability to handle a variety of tasks/requests at one time, and the ability to deal with a diverse set of individuals. A team player mentality is mandatory.Responsibilities:Welcome, greet and make guests feel comfortable and valued for the duration of their visitAccurately answer questions regarding the food and beverage products we offer, as well as how such products are preparedTake and deliver food and beverage orders for guests in a timely manner, using a point-of-sale systemInform guests of menu specials and changesUpsell food and beverage items by using suggestive selling techniquesPerform all necessary side workMaintain cleanliness of service stationsRespond promptly and courteously to any guest requestPrepare final bill, present check to guest, properly reconcile guest paymentKeep a professional attitude and demeanor during all guest interactionsAssist fellow servers, bartenders and bus persons as situations arise and/or tables require clearing and resettingPractice safe/sanitary food handling proceduresQualifications:Must be available weekends, weeknights, and holidaysMust either possess ServSafe certification or obtain it upon hireHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training expected
